Matte lipstick was a confusing beauty trend for me, do I have Kylie Jenner lips or do my lips just look chapped. When I finally gave in, I couldn’t see myself going back to my regular go-to gloss. I put together a list of the brands and shades that I like to use, to get the matte look.
ColourPop Ultra Matte Lip in Clueless
I ordered two colours originally, Shimmy and Clueless, but Clueless is by far my favourite. Quite a few blogs mention that the Kylie Jenner Lip Kit formula is similar to ColourPop’s formula, however ColourPop is very affordable.
NYX Lingerie in Lace Detail
This one is perfect for daytime and nighttime. It is very versatile, my girlfriends with all different skin tones tried mine and ending up buying the colour themselves.
treStique Matte Lip Crayon in Nantucket Nude
I sometimes have trouble finding a good nude lipstick because it is so similar to my lip colour. Nantucket Nude has the same undertone as my natural lip colour but with a nice pink tinge.
The Balm Meet Matt(e) Hughes in Committed
By far the boldest colour of this bunch. This is the perfect summer colour, with a peach undertone. This was one of my top picks for my post on winter beauty tips.
