My New Home: Final Home Decor Touches

I have been talking about it for months. I have finally had the chance to take some photos of my townhouse fully-renovated and almost completely decorated. The one thing I have come to realize is that decorating is a new ending process.

One of the things I love about my new place it that there is so much natural light. Quite a few of my favourite home decor pieces are in the living room. I chose pieces that are bohemian with a beachy feel.  One of my favourite accessories in the the room, is the chunky knit blanket. I found some similar ones online:

Gallery Wall

I spent a long time browsing through Etsy to choose prints for my gallery wall. Then I started looking through blogs and found some free prints. There are some good ones on Design Love Fest, A Joyful Riot, Alice and Lois  and Little Gold Pixel. A few years ago, a posted a helpful how to for designing your own gallery wall. I used the same method for laying out this gallery wall.

Kitchen and Dining AreaThe light fixtures where a struggle for me to decide on. It is amazing how much you can spend on lighting! I ordered a few online, but honestly it is hard to tell the scale and the colour. I would highly recommend purchasing your lighting in a store, or at least  the very least seeing it in a store before purchasing it online. I really wanted pot lighting but since it was out of my price range, I had to search for some track lighting solutions. My boyfriend actually took three pendant lights and turned them into a track light.

My favourite thing in my living/dining area at these Christopher Knight stools I found on Overstock.ca. Considering I had to pay USD for them, they are still fairly reasonably priced.
Balcony
Once the weather started to clear up, our balcony was my main focus. I spent hours on Craigslist searching for good outdoor furniture. My patio makeover cost me roughly $600.
The cushions are from Ikea, the planters I got from Winners, the knit pouf from Curver, the saucer chairs from Home Depot and the outdoor rug from Wayfair.
I have spent an overwhelming amount of money on home decor this year, however things are finally starting to slow down. There are only a few finishing touches here and there. I am slowly chipping away at the master bedroom and guest bedroom. Pictures to follow shortly.
